The 21st Amendment Bar (pictured) is a boutique small bar in the heart of Leederville serving the best of craft beer, cocktails, and fine wine. Opened in 2018, it has become a favourite amongst locals for its laidback ambient vibes, and it’s a great place to catch local live music. You will regularly find owner Paul slinging drinks behind the bar. We had a chat with Paul on what he loves about Leederville and what is his go-to winter drink to keep warm.

Why did you choose Leederville for your business? Leederville is a dynamic environment that suits a range of age groups and demographics, there are plenty of Cafes that open for breakfast at 6am and nightclubs finishing from the night before. There is retail, cinemas, professional offices, great restaurants, and bars. There is a TAFE, YMCA, skate park and some great local artist works. We saw a hole in the market for a casual venue that appeals to groups who want to catch up in a way that allows them to have fun

What’s your favourite thing about Leederville? The residents and business owners are friendly down-to-earth people who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome!

If you had to plan your perfect day in Leederville, how would that look? Breakfast at one of the great cafes, a little shopping, and a movie before lunch, then while away the afternoon sitting outside one of the great drinking establishments having a beer. Meet up with friends for dinner on the strip and then party the night away at the plentiful night spots!

As the cooler months arrive, what will be your go-to winter drink? Pinot and Whiskey!

Other small bars around Leederville

Robert’s on Oxford is the new kid on the Leederville strip. Located just North of Luna Cinemas, it quietly opened its doors in December 2020 and has become a treasured addition to Leederville. Open from 6:30am daily for your morning coffee top up and open all day and serving up your favourite drinks into the night. You may have noticed that Robert’s have expanded with a new on-road parklet space. And Robert’s will soon not only be a venue for coffee and drinks but also for food, with their kitchen opening up in Winter 2021. You might be fighting for a seat in this small bar gem.

Amani Bar & Kitchen, a friendly neighbourhood bar operating since 2012, is situated right on the buzzing Leederville strip. A place to relax with serious drinks served by non-serious people, with food that you will not find in any other bar! Open Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm. Look out for their popular ‘Gin and Jazz’ or ‘Bourbon and Blues’ nights.
