Rise up and check out Leedy’s new bakeries!

We’ve had a bit of a bakery uprise over the past few weeks, with three new bakeries opening in Leederville! Whether you’re after a crunchy gluten-free sourdough, fresh eclairs or a flakey croissant, these new and totally unique bakeries have got it going on.

Tentazioni

Healthy morning walks around Britannia Park have now been made a little more rewarding and a whole lot tastier thanks to Tentazioni – translating to ‘temptations’ – opening up around the corner. This new Italian bakery and cafe is serving up mouth-watering Italian cakes and pastries, including their speciality Bombolone. Their fresh custard-filled croissant was hands down one of the best croissants we’ve ever had! Roberto, the owner, brought this place to life with the hope of sharing a slice of his beloved Venice with the rest of the world. Grab one of their signature coffees, a fresh panini and sit back and relax in their lovely back garden. Buon Appetito!

The Answer is Spinach

If you’re one of those ‘special’ souls whose stomach does not agree with regular wheat laden bread (you poor, poor thing), you are going to love The Answer is Spinach. They’re serving up all things gluten-free, vegan and organic! Gone are the days when the term ‘gluten-free’ had us turning our noses up at the thought of horrible cardboard-like blandess – this cafe’s sourdough, cinnamon scrolls and savoury muffins couldn’t be further from that. It’s not often that gluten-free peeps get to enjoy a slice (or loaf!) of sourdough, so you’ll want to snap one of these up right away.

Six Bakery

If you’re after delicious cakes, muffins or tarts, Six Bakery is the place to go. They offer catering, but also open Monday to Friday for fresh breakfast and lunch options, including home-made salads, paninis, frittata, coffee, and fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies. Some days you might also find some home-made dumplings or rice paper rolls. The only hard part is choosing what to have. Sweet or savoury? Hot or cold? There are so many important decisions to be made! We recommend trying the apple and yoghurt cake. Delish!
